Parry Sound is at a turning point. The decisions this council term makes — about housing, infrastructure, spending, and how the Town represents itself to senior governments — will shape the community for years to come. My platform is built on a simple idea: set the priorities early, then get to work.
Parry Sound needs more housing options across every stage of life and income level — starter homes, attainable housing, senior options, and purpose-built rentals. That means putting available land to work, partnering with landowners, simplifying development processes without lowering planning and safety standards, and matching infrastructure planning to growth so the two move together.
The Town also needs responsible growth: projects planned carefully, realistic timelines, budgets managed, and follow-through. Fiscal responsibility means scrutinizing spending and making value for taxpayers a clear measure of success. Open, accountable government means communicating earlier and more clearly, and making public information easier to find. And Parry Sound needs a stronger, more consistent voice with senior governments — advocating on health care, education, infrastructure, housing, transportation, and economic development before decisions are made, not after.
